How does it work? What does it cost?
Using your PC and the Express Deposit scanning device, each check is digitally transferred into an electronic image. The image is sent to our central processing center and funds are quickly deposited into your account. There is a monthly fee (Account Analysis earnings credit may offset fees) of $50 and a per item fee of .20 cents. However, the savings you receive on fuel and time for bank trips out weigh any of these minor costs.
How long does it take to get setup?
OMNI BANK can provide an on-site consultation at your place of business prior to installing Express Deposit. Actual installation takes approximately 30 minutes.
What type of training will be provided for my employees?
You define your Express Deposit users. Typically those who perform accounting work for your business are a good choice. In-depth training (at your business) is provided by OMNI BANK. Our staff is here to support your needs and provide back-up or additional training when needed.
What types of checks can be processed through Express Deposit? What about cash?
Personal checks, business checks, postal money orders with a valid U.S. Routing and Transit number. However, technology does have limits; cash deposits must be made at your local OMNI BANK branch.
What do I do with the paper check after I make the deposit?
As stated in the Express Deposit contract, OMNI BANK requires that original checks be stored for 60 days in a secured location. After the required 60 days, federal guidelines state that checks must be properly destroyed.
What are the security features?
Express Deposit is performed through a secure network that provides tiered user access, criteria review, and a high level of encryption. Only approved users can access your Express Deposit account records.
